About
Tash is a psychologist and former educator who has spent more than fifteen years working alongside children and families. She returned to study in 2020 to retrain as a psychologist, drawn by a deeper interest in what children were communicating in classrooms and in supporting the families and adults around each child. Compassionate and dedicated in her approach, she works collaboratively with children, adolescents and parents to live well alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence, learning difficulties and the ordinary challenges of growing up, and to move towards what matters most to them. As a mother herself, Tash understands the realities of family life from the inside. She sees parents as people in their own right and with their own histories. She works from the understanding that children need “good enough” parents/carers who can repair and reconnect, not perfect ones. In addition to her work in schools, Tash has experience working in a telehealth perinatal setting with adults throughout all stages of pregnancy, birth and parenting. She is passionate about creative, play-based work that meets children where they are, recognising that play is how children make sense of experience and express what they may not yet have words for.

Therapeutic Approach
Tash works eclectically, tailoring her approach to the individual needs of each client rather than applying a single model. Her practice is attachment-informed and developmentally attuned across the lifespan, with an emphasis on co-regulation and the caregiving relationship as the foundation of a child’s sense of safety. As a Circle of Security facilitator, she draws on this framework in her work with parents, helping them understand their child’s needs, recognise the moments that feel hardest, and respond in ways that strengthen the relationship. Alongside this she works with somatic therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-sensitive yoga. Play-based and creative approaches run throughout her work, central for younger children, and adapted for older clients, reflecting her belief that play is how we make sense of experience and express what we may not yet have words for. Tash values multidisciplinary collaboration with families, schools and other treating professionals.
